Fifty-two years ago today, Neal Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin first stepped foot on the moon, while Michael Collins manned the Apollo 11 Command Module, Columbia.
Those of us who witnessed this ‘out of this world’ event on July 20, 1969, remember the anticipation and uncertainty we felt watching Armstrong’s first step. The picture was in black and white and a little fuzzy. But to think that it was being broadcast from the moon was mind-boggling!
